How to delete your InnoCaption account and app

We understand that InnoCaption is not a good fit for everyone's unique needs! If you are no longer interested in using the app, here are instructions for how to delete your InnoCaption account and app.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have call forwarding set up, you must disable call forwarding for calls to go to your regular phone app. Deleting the app will not cancel call forwarding. Call forwarding is a service provided by your cellular provider. For detailed instruction on how to cancel call forwarding, please visit How to set up automatic call forwarding to have all inbound calls captioned.

If you have any call transcripts you would like to keep for future reference, please email them to yourself before deleting the app. For detailed instructions on how to email call transcripts to yourself, please visit How do I email past call transcripts?

Once you are finished with these two steps, you can proceed to delete your InnoCaption account and app.

To delete your InnoCaption account on an iPhone and Android Next Gen (New v4.0)

  1. Open the InnoCaption app

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Your account (located at the top)

  4. Tap Delete account

  5. When you tap Delete Account, you will be asked if you would like to delete your account. To confirm, tap Continue

    Note: Once you delete your account, you will no longer have access to your current InnoCaption number

  6. Once you tap Continue, your account will be deleted

To delete the InnoCaption app on an iPhone

  1. From your phone's home screen, open the Settings app

  2. Tap General

  3. Tap iPhone Storage

  4. Tap InnoCaption

  5. Tap Delete App

To delete the InnoCaption app on an Android

  1. From your phone's home screen, open the Settings app

  2. Tap Apps

  3. Tap InnoCaption

  4. Tap Uninstall

  5. Tap OK

Upon deleting your account, your personal information will be removed from our database of active users and archived as legally required. As an FCC certified Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) provider, we must legally archive certain information per federal regulations.
