How to set up automatic call forwarding to have all inbound calls captioned
Updated over a week ago

Set up automatic call forwarding from your existing cell phone number to your personal InnoCaption number to get all of your calls captioned by our service. Call forwarding must be set up with your wireless provider. With most providers, this can be done through the InnoCaption app settings. However, please note that call forwarding is a service provided by your wireless provider and you may be faced with issues that we cannot fully troubleshoot on your behalf. In this case, you may need to reach out to your wireless provider for support.

To set up call forwarding

  1. Open the InnoCaption app

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Inbound calls

  4. Next to Call forwarding, tap Enable

  5. Select your phone carrier and tap Continue

  6. Follow the instructions on screen and tap OK or Dismiss if prompted

  7. To test if call forwarding was set up properly, tap Test inbound call. You should receive a captioned inbound call through InnoCaption.

To cancel call forwarding

  1. Open the InnoCaption app

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Inbound calls

  4. Next to Call forwarding, tap Disable

  5. Follow the instructions on screen and tap OK or Dismiss if prompted

Don’t see your carrier listed on the app?

Unfortunately, we do not have call forwarding setup instructions on hand for your wireless carrier. Please try contacting your wireless carrier and ask if they offer automatic call forwarding for your account.

If I set up automatic call forwarding, will I still receive text messages?

Yes. Automatic call forwarding does not apply to text messages so you will continue to receive texts to your regular cell phone number as usual.
