The InnoCaption app will only pick up and caption incoming calls to your Innocaption phone number, which was assigned to you when you registered for an account. Therefore, if you wish to have inbound calls captioned, you will need to either:

(1) provide your personal InnoCaption number to anyone who wants to call you, or

(2) have inbound calls to your existing cell phone number automatically forwarded to the InnoCaption number

To find your InnoCaption number on an iPhone and Android Next Gen (New v4.0)

  1. Open the InnoCaption app

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Your InnoCaption number will be listed under Outbound caller ID

Setting up automatic call forwarding

If you set up call forwarding, the InnoCaption app will pick up all incoming calls to your existing cell phone number and caption them. Inbound call forwarding is a feature offered by most wireless carriers and instructions depend on your specific carrier and device. For detailed instructions on how to set up call forwarding, please visit How to set up automatic call forwarding to have all inbound calls captioned.

If you plan to set up call forwarding, we also recommend you use the caller ID function so that the recipient of calls you make from the InnoCaption app will see your existing cell phone number. This means if they already have your number saved, they will know it is you calling. Please refer to the article below for further instructions:
