Why does the InnoCaption app ask for access to my location information?
Updated over a week ago

When you install or update the InnoCaption app, you will be asked to provide permission for the app to access your mobile device’s location. You must allow this permission for the app to work because this enables the app to function properly during 911 emergency calls. We take our users' privacy very seriously and do not track, record or use your location data for any purpose other than when you make a 911 emergency call.

How 911 Calling Works

When you dial 911 using the InnoCaption app, your call is put ahead of other callers using InnoCaption and automatically routed to a live stenographer for captioning, no matter your default caption mode setting. When you dial 911 on the InnoCaption app, your call will be sent directly to your local 911 center based on your mobile device’s coordinates.
