Text messages and InnoCaption

Learn why you can't receive text messages through InnoCaption, and how call forwarding will affect your text messages

As an Internet Protocol Captioned Telephone Service (IP-CTS) provider, InnoCaption can only be used for incoming and outgoing phone calls, and cannot be used for text messages. Texting is supported through your phone’s regular SMS text application.

If you would like to make sure that people that you call text you back at the correct number (your regular cell phone number), we recommend you set your outbound caller ID function to display your regular cell phone number instead of your InnoCaption number.

Please note that automatic call forwarding does not apply to text messages. If you set up call forwarding, you will continue to receive text messages to your regular cell phone number as usual.
