Who is eligible for this service and how is it free of charge?

Updated this week

InnoCaption’s service is offered free of charge to eligible individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and need captions to understand phone conversations. The service is also available for people with speech disabilities who may not need captions, but require assistance placing calls using their own voice. Our service is funded and administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) through the Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) fund and is available to eligible users in the United States.

No signed statement from a doctor or audiologist is required to use our service, but during the registration process, we must obtain certain personal information from you for FCC compliance purposes. This is to verify your identity and prevent misuse of this vital accessibility service for people who are deaf, hard of hearing or have difficulty using their own voice to talk. We know that this information is highly confidential and we take strict measures to protect your personal information.

Please visit the FCC website at www.fcc.gov to find out more about Telecommunications Relay Services. To see the list of certified TRS providers, including InnoCaption, please visit the FCC website here.
